Prince Ri Logo & Merch
During my internship with Dividend Management LLC, I was assigned various projects that had to do with the rapper Prince Ri. I worked on developing a strong logo for him and designed and mocked up various t-shirts that could be used for merch.
Logo Design
For the logo design I knew starting out that I wanted to lean more into the crown symbol to tie in with the “Prince” section of his name. I looked at his different album covers and while not all had a logo or his name on them when they did, it usually stayed in the hand written organic feel. So after creating the more rigid and blocky first iteration i decided to try and free hand a sort of graffiti tag style and after several tries I landed on the style on the right to be the final logo design.
T-Shirt Designs
For the t-shirts I chose to base the deisgns off of the different singles that he had out on Spotifiy at the time. I didn’t want to just put the album cover on the shirt and that be the design so I decided to design what I felt the song title felt like and how it could be shown in a visual way.
